Train of Thought

I started my women's bible study today and it was AWESOME. The leader, Tanya Whitaker, is full of energy. She will be a great leader for our study of the book of James throughout the next few months. I've missed connecting, communicating and learning from other women. The past two months I've been in go-go-go mode with traveling. Not that I'm complaining, we had some great trips, but I'm so glad to be home now. I'm ready for the fall routine. I'm also ready to figure out my allergy issue. Whaaaat is the deal? Every season it seems to get worse. I'm on it though. Next week is my appointment with a specialist. I'm currently trying to mix different allergy meds on my own to see which combo works. No success yet. Yesterday's combo made me super drowsy all day and then kept me up all night. Literally. I never fell asleep. Tonight's sleep will be awesome though. I've been day-dreaming about my bed all morning...

Orien's still doing well in preschool. He did cry for the first time yesterday when I dropped him off. I think because he was tired. Tired Orien = Clingy Orien. But, like always, he was ALL smiles when I picked him up. AND he napped for the second time! Woo, go O! I've been thinking and praying a lot lately about something in particular. I feel like I'm missing something in my life. I need something for just me. I love love doing the blog, but I'm craving more. So lately I've been researching into different opportunities. I'm not pushing or rushing anything though. I know God will lead me down the path that's right for me. Patience is the key!

This weekend Eric has another home game and I cannot wait. I absolutely LOVE cheering on my little brother. We make it a big family event with my step dad, mom, sister, me, Orien, Brett, my Nan, my Parrain and sometimes my grandma and other extended family members. He definitely has the most fans in the crowd every game. You know he loves it, too :) Saturday Brett is finally getting the chance to go hunting. I have no idea which animal he is hunting for but I know he's going to enjoy every minute. He's been itchin' for a hunting trip for months. It's so good for him to have that time alone with the guys. In my opinion, it's one of the keys to a success marriage...doing your own thing every now and then.

And finallllly we get to attend a RPC Sunday service! I think it's been two months since we've been able to go? I signed up to sub for the little ones, so I'll be there for both services. And Sunday night is DATE NIGHT! Woo!!! We need it. We always need it though lol. Brett's planning it and I'm sure we'll be at a restaurant with lots of very large TVs. After all, it's FOOTBALL season! (Go Texans!) Ok, my train of thought just ended...I'm spent.

  1. I'm so glad that Orien is enjoying school. Lily loves it too! I know exactly how you feel when you say that you need something for just you. I feel that way right now too because not only am I working full time, but I have to be a mother and wife when I get home. I don't even get a break on weekends because I run errands and do laundry all day on Saturdays. I'm itching for something as well and have been trying to figure it out for a few days now. I agree when you say the key to a successful marriage is to have some time away from eachother here and there. Tony and I have been doing this for nearly 7 years now and it works!I will laugh so hard if Brett takes you to Buffalo Wild Wings! You said "lots of very large tv's" and that's the first thing that came to mind! Miss you girl :)
