Lemon Sugar Hand Scrub
You need:
jar
2 1/2 cups of sugar
4 tps lemon juice
1 cup of olive oil
Directions:
1. mix all ingredients in a mixing bowl
2. make sure there are no large clumps - you want a somewhat liquid mixture
3. Add a label and tie a bow!
Easy as pie.
PERSONALIZED PICTURE COASTERS
You need:
5 limestone 4x4 inch tiles
(I got mine for free from Home Depot - they were extras lying around)
white tissue paper
scissors
paint brush
scotch tape
modge podge
acrylic clear spray paint
felt with adhesive back
Directions:
1. tape white tissue paper onto either stock or photo paper to allow printer to easily grab tissue
2. print out your selected photos - be sure to set your print settings to 4x4 inches
3. paint one layer of modge podge on the tile then place the photo on top
4. repeat with all tiles
5. let them DRY COMPLETELY before adding next layer of modge podge
(your photos will rip if it's not completely dry)
6. this is a good time to cut your felt squares
7. paint 2 more modge podge layers on each tile while letting them dry in between
8. then spray 3 layers of acrylic paint on all tiles while letting them dry in between
9. place felt on the back of each tile
Wrap them up with ribbon or twine like I used and you've got yourself a GREAT (and cheap!) personalized gift! I love how the tile gives the photos a vintage look. Sorry I was in a huge rush while making these and didn't have time to take step-by-step pictures.
