We're Waiting Here For You

I pray if you don't know Jesus well, that this song & video brings you closer to Him. You cannot deny the presence and greatness of God when watching this!

If faith can move the mountains
Let the mountains move
We come with expectation
Waiting here for you, I’m waiting here for you

You’re the Lord of all creation
And still you know my heart
The Author of Salvation
You’ve loved us from the start

Waiting here for You
With our hands lifted high in praise
And it's You we adore
Singing Alleluia

You are everything You’ve promised
Your faithfulness is true
And we're desperate for Your presence
All we need is You

Waiting here for You
With our hands lifted high in praise
And it's You we adore
Singing Alleluia

Singing Alleluia
Alleluia, singing alleluia, alleluia

Waiting here for you
With our hands lifted high in praise
And it's You we adore
We're singing Alleluia

I'm singing Alleluia
Waiting here for you
With our hands lifted high in praise
And it's You we adore
Singing Alleluia
Singing Alleluia

A Whirlwind Weekend

December is CRAZY! But so much fun. Check out our whirlwind of a weekend.

This house is in Greatwood and has a Santa roller coaster every year in its yard. O'Ryan loves driving by it.

He's FINALLY starting to smile on command instead of just saying "CHEESE". He totally looks like Brett in this picture.

Just hanging out...

Me and my boy.

Our house is decked out for Christmas. I hosted a party Friday and home team Sunday and we used our dining room table! I love the table so I'm going to just start using it more.

OMG I love our new quilt!!! We haven't had a nice one since we got married. The one we got 4 years ago was quickly ruined by dogs and kids. Now our bed is 100% OFF LIMITS to our furry friends!!!

O helping making treats for my party. Really he was no help, lol. He just kept asking to eat it all.

Just being silly.

This picture is either SUPER cute or REALLY gross to you.
(I think it's adorable - duh!)

Man, he is OBSESSED with all of his stuffed animals recently. Sometimes he wants all of them in his bed when sleeping.

Saturday afternoon we drove to Richmond for some outdoor Christmas activities. Really all O'Ryan cared about was this old fire truck :)

His favorite thing was this bounce house. He's funny...he climbed in said "hi" to the other two little girls and then came to me and said "Mommy, those are my new friends."

Petting a baby goat.

O is SUPER into this book Maqui gave to him called "Antlers Forever." He's always giving himself antlers (like above) with his hands or drumsticks or forks or whatever...lol. And he yells, "ANTLERS FOREVER!!"

Just Look...

at what I have been blessed with!

Two handsome, smart, outgoing, healthy, strong, dedicated and passionate men.

Thank you Jesus!

My Fav Things - November

Here is it...my Favorite Things from November...

Paul Mitchell ProTools Straightener
I bought this last year on sale and on tax-free weekend. I think it's usually around $100. I don't straighten my hair that much but lately I have been. My hair has been lifeless and so blah. Straightening gives it that beauuutiful shine and direction that really does last all day. Okay, now I sound like a commercial...moving on.

MY BOOTS!
Boots are definitely the biggest fall/winter fashion trend this year. And I love it. I've worn boots like this for about 5 years now. I got the brown ones from Steve Madden a few years back. Last year Brett bought me the black ones from Aldo for Christmas. They both are SO comfortable and add a lot to any plain jeans and shirt outfit. I'm SO ALL ABOUT COMFORT when it comes to what I wear. I'm very picky. I don't like tight things or itchy things or heels. Yuck. Just thinking of wearing heels and lugging my toddler around and being on my feet all day makes me worn out.

Stella & Dot
I am in LOVE with Stella & Dot jewelery. It's totally my style, goes with everything and great quality. I just hosted a trunk show for my cousin and it was so fun! I'll definitely hosting another one this Spring when the new spring jewelery comes out.

Christmas Candles
Y'all know I love candles. (Around here we need them!!) During Christmas time, our house is FILLED with "Apple Pie", "Christmas Tree" and "Peppermint" flavored candles. Yum yum. The middle one pictured is from Bath & Body Works (AWESOME candles & prices). And my new favorite type is Circle E candles. How did I go so long without knowing about Circle E???? They're hands down the best. They have a "Christmas Tree" scented one and it's to dieee for.

Cleaning Cloths
This one is so random but I just love these clothes. What are they called? I have no idea. But they are best for cleaning ALL glass in your house and for dusting everything (wood, blinds, leather). I have about 10 and use them all of the time.

Stormie Omartian's The Power of a Praying Parent
Oh man this book is so good. A friend at church turned me onto this whole series (There's a Power of a Praying Wife too). I pray for O'Ryan daily but often find myself saying the same thing over and over. This book rocks because it breaks prayers up into various topics. It allows me to pray so specifically (which is crucial!) for my son. I absolutely love it.

Bath & Body Works Liplicious Gloss
Yummm this stuff is good. It's so pretty and glossy and I have to admit kinda tastes good :) I got it for free the other day - I think because I bought so many candles lol. This color "whipped vanilla" is really pretty. It's a purple-ish color with some shine - perfect for winter.

A Thankful Heart

"A thankful heart is not only the greatest virtue, but the parent of all other virtues."

This year I'm thankful for my GOD and my FAMILY.

Happy Thanksgiving from us to YOU!

This Is A List You Don't Ever See

Okay, my son has been a bit on the difficult side lately. Instead of ranting and raving I thought, why not do a post about just the opposite...

A list of the Top Reasons I Love Having a Toddler.

(And yes I actually came up with 10 Reasons)

1. You have a permanent at-home mini masseuse. O'Ryan loves walking and "chopping" (aka: hitting) my back when it hurts.

2. You're fridge is NEVER empty. I love hanging up his new scribbly-scrabbly "creations." It makes him feel so proud too.

3. You always have a reason to get together with other mom friends. Play dates with young kids is a guaranteed hectic time, but once you learn to tune out the little ones it's allll good :)

4. Need a good snuggle or sweet little hug? No problem! My two year old never runs out of those.

5. You are the absolute COOLEST, funniest, prettiest, and smartest person in their world.

6. It usually doesn't take much to make them happy. All it takes is a pack of orange tic-tacs or a cheaply-made McDonald's happy meal toy to put a big, silly grin on their face!

7. He keeps me YOUNG! Not only do I burn like way too many calories to count chasing my toddler, but his goofiness rubs off on me making me young at heart!

8. Watching him grow and learn with his little sponge of a brain. It's astonishing what they pick up (and sometimes quite embarrassing).

9. Holidays are THE BOMB when you have a young child. Easter eggs hunts, Christmas morning and trick-or-treating are like 100x more fun when you've got young kiddos. Just be prepared to deal with sugared-up crazy tiny people during each holiday, as stores have decided to make candy a huge part of each one. Ugh.

10. Seeing the wonderful world through the eyes of a child. Everything is new and exciting.
NOTHING can beat that.
