Mobile Pictures Post

There's a big batch of photos this time... ENJOY!

Typical little boy.

Found some ducklings at the Aquatic Center.

Leah's backyard spot.

Morning cartoon time.

Just before bedtime.

Splash park.

I was telling Orien about his (late) Grandma Angie and he was so sweet. He kept petting her and kissing the picture.

Cutting a molar...

We're ready for some short hikes in Wyoming!

Lupe Tortilla's

It's funny to me that Orien will grow up knowing how to use iPhones, iPads and iMacs.

This was really funny to him...

Bad hair day.

Daddy turned 27 last week!!!

Notice the homemade football cake?

We love Daddy :)

In order to wear Orien out and garauntee a LONG nap...take him in the pool for just 30 min. It works like magic!

She did this herself.

Packing for the lakehouse...

Now "helping" unpack...

O's new obessesion...

Guess Where We're Headed?

Yep. We're off the lake! It'll be our last '10 summer trip. Or maybe not since I don't think this 100 degree HEAT is going anywhere for a while...

Brett's cousins are joining us this trip! Can't wait for Orien to get some QT in with his little 7 month old cousin Allison. I'll be watching Allison next week for three days so it will be great for us to get some snuggle/bonding time as well :) I just can't get enough of little ones. Love love them!

So if you find yourself wondering what the Boettcher's are up to this weekend...we'll be boating, Grismill-ing, relaxing, and I'm sure laughing a lot. I'll post Monday (photos included!) about our lake trip.

Happy Thursday,
PMB

Check out O at 1 month during his first lake trip:

You can't get any more chilled out than that.

Confessional

This is a post I may or may not do again. Depends on the feedback.

But seriously I have been out of my mind lately. Nothing new really. But I need a "virtual confessional" via my blog. So get ready. Throw away all preconceived notions you may have about me and start fresh. Here are some of my confessions...

Today I was THIS close to getting out of my car at the light and screaming in the person's face that cut me off. No joke! When I have my boy in my car, I am a bit overprotective...

Yesterday I didn't change Orien's stinky diaper for 30 min because I wanted to wait until Brett got home so HE could change it...

I wanted to have about four glasses of wine at dinner last night, but only had one since I get hung over quite easily...

I feed Orien Mac n' Cheese waaaaay too often...

I sometimes light candles in my house when people come over so it will seem cleaner than it actually is...

My dog has not been walked in months (seriously it's 110 degrees every day until 9pm)...

I have already been online searching for fall clothes for Orien...

I'm thinking of drugging Orien for our long plane trip to WY (kidding of course)...

I am definitely TOO excited for O to begin preschool. I've already been fantasizing about what I'll do in my free time...

I have road rage, BAD...

I work out longer than I want sometimes just to have some "me" time and to not hear constant whining...

I love my son more than anything in the world and would die for him in a second (not a confession, but I feel like I should balance out some of my bad Mommy confessions)...

This is a NO JUDGING zone! Hope you enjoyed and this inspired you to be a little more honest with yourself about your faults. Gotta have a SENSE of HUMOR in life right?

Patricia

Silly O

I don't know how Orien turned out so so silly. Brett and I are so totally normal...
Anyway, I just feel I need to jot down some of the entertaining things he has been doing lately.
(Keep in mind these things are obviously a lot funnier to me since I am the Momma!)

Shrugs his shoulders a lot

Carries around pictures in picture frames - will put them in his shopping basket and push it around

Goes #2 in Leah's dog kennel (a boy has got to have some privacy!)

When you say "spin", he goes around and around with a silly grin on his face until he falls

BLOWS KISSES!!! And will sometimes give a cheek kiss if he's in the mood

"Barks" in Leah's face when she does her howl-bark

Hugs with just his head (see photo below)

Hits everything including Mommy when she's mad...oh wait that's not entertaining, just really annoying

Of course there's more I can't think of at the moment. I've GOT to get some of this on video. But usually when I'm cracking up from his silliness, I'm not thinking about running to grab the camera! Check out the photos below. I caught O and Leah's daily snuggle session yesterday and got some pics of Orien dancing with some intense Mardi Gras beads.

Love to all,
PB

I think Leah's over it... (notice O's "hug")

He obviously has a problem opening his eyes for photos!

"Hugging" Mom after hitting Mom several times and Mom saying BE NICE to MOMMY!!!

Action shot (blowing kisses).

Such a cutie.

A Picture Can Say A Thousand Words

"Look Mom, my eyes match my shirt"

Leah: "If I stare hard enough, maybe he'll let me have a lick"

"I can't believe Mom is letting me walk around with a dripping red popsicle right now"

"Some privacy please?"

"Wait this string on my shorts is pretty tasty too..."

"Actually...it's really tasty"

"Oh Hey Mom! Here's a silly face for the camera!"

"squeak toy noise here>"

"My serious model pose"

Leah: "I have an extremely big face"

Leah: "And a very long tongue..."

"Mommy why are you down there?"
"Here's my best CHEESE face!"

"Aren't I the cutest thing you've ever seen?"

For the record, Orien's popsicle didn't drip ONE drop!

I'm glad I captured these moments this afternoon. I started thinking today how Orien will start preschool soon and we won't have every single minute of every day together. Although that is very much music to my ears, it's a little sad. Up until now I've been a full-time very-exhausted stay at home mom. It won't be like that forever. As each year passes, Orien will go to preschool for more days a week and I will most likely have another little one hanging around (and then maybe another?). It won't be just me and my studly little guy forever. And that's okay but it will be different. Bottom line is I need to cherish these times. Yes it's H-O-T (understatement) and the summer days can be long with a toddler at home, but our time together is PRICELESS. I am incredibly blessed to be able to stay at home with my son and give him all my love and care everyday. I thank God for that.

I also thank God my camera takes such quick photos...or I would've missed all of those adorable expressions :)

With love,

Patricia
